Starting from an ancient symbol, with spiritual connotations, the triangle, and the search for a mortuary ceremonies space that would fit a diversity of religions, the proposal implies building a chapel for a small village community. Hence, the main hall has the symbolic shape of an equilateral triangle in which the light coming from the windows is completed by the light coming from the elevated ceiling. The result is a sober space that becomes a background for the sacredness of the mortuary ceremony. The waking room is a rectangle placed on the central axis of the chapel. The materiality comes from the context: clay and wood. Hence the walls of the chapel are made of rammed earth, while the wake room is made of burnt wood.
